Özyeğin University was established in 2007 to be a unique university that contributes to social development with its contemporary education system, its innovative structure intertwined with life, its educational approach intertwined with sectors and the programs it has created under its vision.
Özyeğin University Çekmeköy Campus was designed by the world’s leading architectural firm that had made the drawings of Cambridge and Princeton Universities and the campus is a quiet university campus with Turkey’s first LEED Gold Certification. There are quiet and comfortable study rooms in the campus, which was established on a total area of 280,000 m2 with modern classrooms and laboratories, a sports center of 15.000 m2, a library of 2.825 m2, and 2 auditoriums with capacities of 350 and 372 people. The university aims to provide students with opportunities in every subject and to be educated with social, sportive and cultural activities as well as academic development.
Özyeğin University started its education with the “research-based entrepreneurship university” approach by embracing the mission of the 3rd Generation universities such as MIT and Cambridge, the leaders in this field, and continues with the aim of “conducting studies that create added value for the society”.

The university presents a total of 23 bachelor programs at the university at 6 faculties and 2 schools. There are 25 graduate programs in 3 institutes. It prepares its students for life in a total area of 283,000 m2 in its campus in Çekmeköy.

It is an exemplary library with a modern design suitable for the needs of the new generation. It supports the education, training and research needs of the university with its user-centred, quality, creative information resources and services. For this purpose, it creates its collections with academic staff and students and diversifies its services. Özyeğin University library has 95 databases, 500,000 e-books, 58,000 printed books, and 125,000 e-journals. High-level educational technologies are used in the library.
