Okan University was established in 1999. Education is provided in the new and modern Tuzla Campus. Standing out with its contemporary architecture, Tuzla Campus has all the features a modern university should have. Tuzla Campus is equipped with modern classrooms, computer and technical laboratories, libraries, conference halls, sports centres, cafeterias, and restaurants, which enable students to receive education in the most efficient way. The campus also offers different opportunities with its proximity to Sabiha Gökçen Airport and F1 Track.

In the Social Center on campus, there are mini movie theatre, cinema, sauna, cafeterias, cocktail lounge, shopping center, and clubrooms. There is a sports center with a capacity of 400 people in the University’s Life Center which was built for students to improve themselves. The Sports Centre, which contains the fitness center, swimming pool, tennis court, basketball, volleyball, and football fields, is designed for the students to make the most of their leisure time.

Aiming to create a bridge between education and the business world, Istanbul Okan University enables its students to take part in the businesses within the Working Life Preparation Program starting from the freshman year. Thus, the students get to know the business life, gain motivation as well as increase their knowledge and skills by establishing a relationship between theory and practice. Students who complete the Working Life Preparation Program are given a certificate of participation and, upon graduation, certificates related to work experience are added to their diplomas.

• Istanbul Okan University is a campus university with 10 faculties, Medical Hospital, Dentistry Hospital, and more than 25,000 students. The university provides education on vocational, undergraduate, and graduate programs as well as short- and long-term professional training. The motto of the university is being close to business life. In this respect, the university has close relationships with national as well as international companies. Within the university and industry relationship, the university sends its students for internships as well as cooperative learning long term internship to companies. Also, the university meets the training needs of those companies and conducts joint research.

• Istanbul Okan University is authorized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to provide modular flight training. Flight training parts of the courses are carried out by Atlantic Flight Academy (AFA) which is our partner.
